Gladzy Kei Art & Cosplay
World-renowned Cosplay Artist
My name is Gladzy, and I am a professional illustrator, concept artist, sculptor, and I am also a HUGE COSPLAY NERD! 🙂 I am super passionate with dressing up as characters from animes, video games, and movies because it makes me happy and I feel like I live in a different realm. I am mostly known for my original cosplay design twists, like making original classic characters look “Warrior Like”. The Battle Disney Princess, Battle Sailor Scouts, and Valkyrie Eevolution were based on some of my concept art designs in collaboration with my fellow artist friends as well. I love cosplay because I also get to meet so many talented individuals that inspire me to go think out of the box and make cool things!
Sharkie Kitty grew up in small-town Midwest, where her path home from grade school brought her past the local comic book shop daily; the iconic designs from publications such as Archie, Squee, and Mad magazine shaped her youth and paved the way for a future intertwined in the art form.
She got her start at SDCC 2014 as live cosplay model for comic drawing panel. Sharkie was asked back as panel guest at SDCC 2016 and participated in a cosplay competition show on tv – real TV! Graduated early with master’s from USC, worked in Hollywood and spent a few years doing fancy corporate work perfectly suited for me that anyone else would call dream jobs before tossing it out the window to do whatever it is I am now. I like this WAY better though!!!
Stuff SharkieKitty likes – Dogs! Hugs! Talking to people at conventions! When people want to take pictures of me! Spending loads of time and money making new cosplays! Gaming in the same room with my partner but not playing separate games ^_^
Sharkie Kitty has…
- 25 conventions in 7 states and 2 countries since 2014
- Appeared on tv interviews and cosplay reality show
- Performed in front of thousands
